Fall 2021 Bible Study – Steadfast: A Devotional Bible Study on the Book of James (Courtney Doctor)
To be steadfast is to be faithful regardless of our circumstances. James longs for his readers to be steadfast. His letter meets us in our suffering and sickness, our trials and temptations, our wealth and poverty, our ups and downs. He confronts our sin, our speech, and our pride. He encourages believers to have a more resilient and concrete faith: not just to hear the word, but to do it. He calls us to persevere in truth in a world of lies, to see that God’s steadfast love is ultimately the source of our steadfast faith.
Through Courtney Doctor’s 8-week study of the book of James, we’ll turn our eyes to our steadfast God and grow in steadfast faith, together.
C3 Women’s Dinners occur monthly at 6:15 pm in the Gathering Hall. We enjoy delicious food, sweet table fellowship, and a program designed to help us grow in godliness. Dinners are a great opportunity to form relationships with other women and to hear and share what God is doing in our lives.
Fall 2021 Women’s Dinners are September 20, October 18, and November 15. This semester, our teaching focus is discipleship. What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus Christ? How do we disciple others, helping them to follow Jesus? How do we find someone to disciple us? And why does any of this matter? We’ll cover these questions and more over the course of our three Fall dinners.
