Spring 2022 Bible Study – Better: A Study of Hebrews (Jen Wilkin) + New D Groups

The Book of Hebrews teaches that Christ is the substance of the shadowy truths the Old Testament records. Through Jen Wilkin’s 10-week study, we’ll learn how Christ fulfills and completes the work of angels, prophets, priests, and ceremonial laws, establishing a better covenant. Written to those tempted to return to the familiar paths of dead ritual, Hebrews call us to fix our gaze instead on the resurrected Christ as we run the race set before us. In Him alone we have hope and salvation. He alone is the radiance of the glory of God. In Him alone we have access to God the Father. He alone is better.

New this Spring, bible study participants may also sign-up when registering to participate in a year-long discipleship microgroup of 3 to 4 women! “D Group” members will focus on helping one another follow Jesus by applying the truths of God’s Word in the context of transparent, accountable relationships. This will not add another curriculum commitment, however; D Groups will use the Bible study curriculum they are already studying in Spring and Fall 2022 and may choose from other recommended resources over the Summer. And, to make meeting as convenient as possible, during the Spring 2022 and Fall 2022 semesters D Groups may meet at the church, childcare provided, for an hour before Bible study (Sunday and Wednesday nights) or after Bible study (Wednesday morning). Over Summer, D Groups may independently arrange meeting times or meet at C3, childcare provided, on Monday or Wednesday mornings. Zoom D Groups may independently arrange Zoom meeting times throughout the year. D Group registration is available through the Bible study registration links below.

Dinners

C3 Women’s Dinners occur monthly at 6:15 pm in the Gathering Hall.  We enjoy delicious food, sweet table fellowship, and a program designed to help us grow in godliness.  Dinners are a great opportunity to form relationships with other women and to hear and share what God is doing in our lives.

Fall 2021 Women’s Dinners are September 20, October 18, and November 15. This semester, our teaching focus is discipleship. What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus Christ? How do we disciple others, helping them to follow Jesus? How do we find someone to disciple us? And why does any of this matter? We’ll cover these questions and more over the course of our three Fall dinners.
