Trip Overview
We are excited to announce our plans for our Student Beach Week this summer! In the midst of a hectic and unpredictable year, we are eager to spend some time away, in intentional fellowship with your students.
Trips like these serve as spiritual and relational catalysts for our students. It’s a time for them to take a step back from their jam-packed schedules and spend quality time with the Lord, with their leaders, and with one another. And with an ever-growing amount of newcomers and guests, this trip will serve as a great opportunity to dive deep into the culture and community of the C3 Youth Ministry.
We will be spending the week down in Port Aransas, Tx. There will be multiple worship & teaching sessions, small group discussions, activities, and free time for students to bond and enjoy the sweet sun and sea shore. In light of the hardships and inconsistencies these students have had to face in the last year, we can’t think of a better time for a trip like this.
We can’t encourage you enough for your students to join us!
Precautions for Covid
With a trip such as this, safety is our top priority. Covid trends and CDC guidance will be closely monitored and followed in the months and weeks leading up to our trip. For the time being, these are some precautions you can expect:
- There will be limited activity taking place with the full group indoors. For these activities, such as teaching and worship, masks will be required.
- Students will be spread out overnight, staying in small groups within individual homes.
- Each student and volunteer will have their temperature checked before departure.
- Each student and volunteer will fill out a Covid-19 questionnaire to prevent prior-to-trip exposure
- We will not be having Youth Group the Sunday evening before our trip, June 20th, to ensure the safest possible environment before departure.
Pending Covid-19 trends, a negative Covid test result may be required of each student and leader before departure.
Dates
Sunday, June 27th – Friday, July 2nd.
Where
We have rented 9 homes along Sand Point Circle in Port Aransas, Tx. The homes are in close proximity to one another and are a short walk from the beach!
Cost
$500. This cost will go towards food, housing, a t-shirt, transportation, and other trip costs. $100 deposit will be required to secure a spot for the trip.
Who?
Rising 6th – 12th graders. This trip is for all incoming middle schoolers and high schoolers.
Can my student invite friends?
Yes! We would love for students to invite friends, especially those who don’t know Jesus.
Who will the leaders be during the retreat?
Most of the leaders for the trip are our regular youth group volunteers. We will have a few additional leaders who will be serving with us as well as some youth parents! All volunteers have been background checked and have completed a training on child safety.
Are scholarships available?
Scholarships are available, but very limited. Please register and at the time to pay you can request a scholarship.
What if my student may have to drop last minute? Should I still register now?
We expect to have students on the waitlist, so it shouldn’t be a problem if a student needs to drop post-registration. If your student desires to go, we recommend registering and securing a spot now. A deadline will be given for anyone who needs to back out once registration has ended. If your student cancels before that deadline, we will refund fully. If your student needs to cancel after that deadline, a refund cannot be guaranteed.
