Retreat Overview

We’re excited to announce our plans for our high school retreat this Fall!

Our retreat weekends serve as spiritual and relational catalysts for our students. It’s a time for our students to create deeper relationships with their small groups and adult leaders while we spend time together in worship and teaching.

We’ll be taking our high school kids to the Cavazos’ family’s ranch north of Beaumont for our retreat this fall. This will be our third straight year and is one of the highlights for many of our students!

We’ll have multiple worship & teaching sessions, small group discussions, and free time for students to bond and play games. In a short weekend like this, students will spend the same amount of time they’d get in 6 months of youth group crammed into one weekend.

Our prayer is that this would be a time for our students to create deeper relationships with their small groups and adult leaders while we spend time together in worship and teaching. These retreat weekends are the best way for newer students to get plugged in and build community.

We can’t encourage you enough for your students to join us!

Details & Frequently Asked Questions

Precautions for Covid

We want to be as honest as possible on what this retreat will look like so that every family can make a decision. The reality is that it will be impossible to be socially distanced on this retreat.

With Covid numbers increasing in our city, we are keeping a close eye on things and will decide on precautions when we get closer.

Dates & arrival/departure time

10/22-24. We will leave town on Friday early evening and we’ll get back on Sunday at around 12:30pm.

Where

The Cavazos’ family at C3 have relatives who own a piece of land in Lumberton, TX, about 20 minutes north of Beaumont. This is where we have stayed the last two years!

Cost

$60. This cost will go towards food, a t-shirt, transportation, and other retreat costs.

Who?

9-12th graders. This retreat is for students who are currently in high school.

Can my student invite friends?

Yes! We would love for students to invite friends, especially those who don’t know Jesus.

Who will the leaders be during the retreat?

Most of the leaders for the retreat are our regular youth group volunteers. We do have a few additional leaders who will be serving with us! These retreats often serve as onboarding opportunities for us to recruit potential new leaders. All volunteers have been background checked and have completed a training on child safety.

Are scholarships available?

Scholarships are available, but very limited. Please register and at the time to pay you can request a scholarship.
