Bible Study

Fall 2023 – Spring 2024 Exodus (Jen Wilkin)

“Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph” (Exodus 1:8). Thus begins the story of the Hebrew people in Exodus. No longer under their forefather Joseph’s protection, the children of Israel became slaves to the Egyptians. But God was raising up a deliverer in Moses, to lead His people from bondage to freedom so they could worship Him. Exodus is the birth narrative of a nation unmistakably guided by the Great Deliverer. And its themes reverberate all the way to Revelation, shaping our understanding of the whole Bible.

Through Jen Wilkin’s companion studies, “God of Deliverance” and “God of Freedom,” we’ll spend 20 weeks learning how Israel’s story is our story: the same God who delivered Israel also delivers all those He loves from slavery to the pharaohs of this world. Then He shepherds His newly-liberated children into an understanding of what their freedom means: lives consecrated for service to God and to one another.

Dinners

C3 Women’s Dinners occur monthly at 6:15 pm in the Gathering Hall.  We enjoy delicious food, sweet table fellowship, and a program designed to help us grow in godliness.  Dinners are a great opportunity to form relationships with other women and to hear and share what God is doing in our lives.

Spring 2024 Women’s Dinners are February 19, March 18, and April 15.

We’ll continue our teaching through the doctrine of God, focusing on God’s communicable attributes–in other words, the characteristics of God that we are meant to share as those made in His image. Praise God that, through the work of Jesus – the perfect image of the invisible God – He is ever conforming us to His image, for His glory and our good!
