Michael Boys
Teaching and Lead Pastor

Michael's love for the local church in general, and preaching in particular, are rooted in his upbringing and over 35 years in local church service. His additional ministry experiences include teaching adjunct at The Master's College, extensive prison ministry in California, and pastor and church-planter training in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Michael shares the ministry with his wife, Christy Lynn.  They are most grateful for two gifted sons, two amazing daughters-in-law, and seven practically-perfect grandchildren.

Michael is a graduate of Baptist Bible College (BA), The Master's Seminary (MDiv), and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (DMin). He has pastored churches in Michigan, California, and Texas.

Seth Thornton
Pastor of Community and Mission

Seth Thornton serves as the Pastor of Mission & Community at C3. He oversees Community Groups and missions endeovors at the church. Seth desires to see C3 become a church that learns together, shares life together and reaches our city for the gospel together.

He has been influenced by the teaching and discipleship ministry of Tommy Nelson, the passion and single-mindedness for the glory of God of John Piper, and Tim Keller’s ability to win over skeptics and missionally reach his city.

Seth grew up in the Texas hill country (the promised land) on a ranch near Llano, Texas. He went to college at the University of North Texas where he played on the UNT golf team and earned a bachelors degree in Business Marketing.  After college, Seth spent a year in Tommy Nelson’s discipleship program and served at Denton Bible Church while earning a graduate degree at Dallas Theological Seminary. After seminary, Seth served as a student pastor in Houston for 9 1/2 years.

Seth met his beautiful wife Melanie while serving as a counselor at TbarM Christian Sports Camp. They have been married for 14 years and have a 10 year old son, a 8 year old daughter and are in the process of adopting a child from Ethiopia. In his limited free time you can find him on the golf course playing a few competitive amateur golf tournaments each year.

Todd Rapp
Pastor of Family Discipleship

Todd grew up in Fort Worth playing many different sports and thriving within a Christ-centered family of 5. Todd attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California for two years, studying Theology, Liberal Arts, and playing on the Varsity tennis team. Transferring to the University of Texas in Austin, Todd graduated with degrees in Psychology and Sociology.

After an internship at Kanakuk Kamps, he took a position as Staff & Area Director for K-Life Ministries in Dallas and served there for six years. Pursing his love for Christian music, he spent a year in Nashville, TN working with Interl’inc as the Tour Coordinator with music artists such as Audio Adrenaline & DC Talk. The next 15 years, Todd was a Director at Kanakuk Kamps in Branson where he met and married his wife, Bronwyn.

Before coming on staff at C3, Todd served as Family Pastor at Grace Bible Church near downtown Houston. Todd’s hobbies include…. Whatever he can do with Bronwyn and their 6 kids!

C3 Student Director

Richmond serves as the Student Ministry Director at C3. His hope for students at C3 is that they would grow their love for Jesus and their love for the Church. He is passionate about leading and teaching students to be the light of Christ in this world. Richmond felt the Lord call him into ministry on a youth group mission trip his senior year of high school.

Richmond grew up in Austin, TX and then attended the largest Christian college in the country, Texas A&M! He graduated with a degree in Finance in December 2014. After graduating he served as an Associate Director of Student Ministries at a church in the Memorial area and is now in school full-time working on his Master's of Theology (Th.M) at the Houston campus of Dallas Theological Seminary. He is excited to be working part-time ministering to the students and families at C3 while developing his gifts for ministry.

Richmond met his wife, McKinzie, on a blind date his freshman year at A&M and four years later they were married on September 13th, 2015! They both fell in love with Jesus at an early age and have a passion to serve the Church. McKinzie works as a receptionist at the Fay School. They love to spend their time cooking for friends, drinking coffee, working out together, and taking their puppy, Ruby, on walks.

Ariel Starke
C3 Ministry Assistant

Ariel Starke serves as the C3 Ministry Assistant. In this role she assists in congregational matters, helps with pastoral administration, manages the C3 ministry offices, and serves as Michael’s personal assistant.

Ariel is from east Tennessee and studied at Carson-Newman University and The University of Tennessee where she specialized in Public Horticulture and Landscape Design. Prior to C3, Ariel served as a horticulture therapy counselor to children with severe disabilities, and has also worked in the Orthodontic field. In her spare time, she volunteers her photography skills at local pregnancy crisis centers to celebrate mothers who choose life. Her passion is serving underpriveliged families and disability groups by providing low-cost and free portrait photography. 

Ariel met her husband Brian through Campus Crusade for Christ at the University of Tennessee. Both came to faith in the Lord at an early age, thanks to diligent and Gospel-loving families. They love travel and bluegrass music. Brian works as a Procurement Specialist at an oil & gas corporation. They have been married since 2010 and have 2 children.

Jessica Meyers
C3 Missions Coordinator

Jessica Meyers serves as the C3 Missions Coordinator. She works to provide the different ministries of C3 and the body of C3 with opportunities to serve and invest in gospel-centered ministries in the city of Houston. She also helps to organize events and encourage community groups to reach their neighborhoods.

Jessica grew up in Austin, Texas, and will still claim it as the best city in the state. Through her involvement in Campus Crusade in college, she met several women who impacted her through discipleship. As a result of these women, and her family, she grew to love the Lord, ministry, and impacting others through serving and the gospel.

Jessica holds a Bachelors degree in Human Development and Family Studies with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy from Texas Tech University. Prior to Christ Community Church, she has worked as a therapist in the psychiatric unit at a children’s hospital in Dallas, taught at Yellowstone Academy for 4 years, and served as volunteer coordinator for Hope for Houston.

Jessica moved to Houston in 2008, where she met her husband Griffin through church. Griffin is an engineer for Chevron, they have been married four years, and have a daughter named Madeline.

Brooke Roberts
C3 Kids Coordinator

Brooke is from Sherman, Texas, north of Dallas and a graduate from the University of North Texas with an Elementary Education Degree. She has used this degree in teaching 5th graders as well as serving her church to help the kids program at Fellowship Bible Church in Jonesboro, AR for 4 years before stepping down due to having her own kids. She wants all of our kids to hear the gospel weekly through the teaching they will receive at C3.

Brooke met the love of her life Michael through College Life Ministries at Denton Bible Church in Denton, TX. They have been married since 2000 and have been blessed with two beautiful daughters: Emery and Landry and a very handsome son, Jameson.
